    Arrive in dazzling Hong Kong today and admire the glittering forest of skyscrapers standing between soaring mountains, a bustling harbor and offshore islands. Settle in to your veranda stateroom and get to know your ship. Because we are berthed overnight here, you may explore this glittering cultural capital on your own this evening.

    Day 2 - Hong Kong, China

    See where Hong Kong's deeply held Eastern traditions meet modern Western sensibilities during a panoramic city tour that takes you up Victoria Peak for sweeping views of the metropolis. Alternately, you may explore further on your own or with one of our shore excursions.

    Day 3 - Haikou, China

    Discover Haikou today, situated on Hainan Island off the southern coast of mainland China. During a tour of this vibrant city, you will visit the historic quarter and the city's inviting green parks. Admire a gleaming-white blend of colonial-era Portuguese and French facades alongside Southeast Asian architecture with Indian and Arabic accents.

    Day 4 - Scenic Cruising: Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

    Sail into the breathtaking world of Ha Long Bay, an astonishing 100-mile stretch of some 2,000 towering karst islands. These mystical-looking monoliths are said to have been created by dragons descending to the sea and leaving behind droplets of jade to protect the mainland from marauders. Wind your way through this remarkable seascape on an authentic Vietnamese junk.

    Day 5 - Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

    Explore more of Ha Long Bay today, taking in dramatic views from your veranda, the Aquavit Terrace or the Explorers' Lounge. If you'd like, travel to Vietnam's northern cultural center of Hanoi, a richly textured city evocative of Old Vietnam. In its atmospheric Old Quarter, old temples and storefronts date back centuries.

    Day 6 - Da Nang (Chan May), Vietnam

    Explore Da Nang, a sleepy backwater transformed into a US base during the Vietnam War and today a bustling cultural center. Witness typical Vietnamese countryside here, blanketed with rice paddies and dotted with water buffalo. Admire the city's colonial architecture, standing alongside ornate temples, and explore the fascinating Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture. You will also visit legendary China Beach, where US soldiers came for relaxation during the war. If you wish, explore the splendid architecture of Hoi An, spared from wartime bombing, or the treasures of Hue, once a dynastic capital.

    Day 7 - Cruise the South China Sea

    Sail into the South China Sea today, waters that were navigated for thousands of years by dynastic emperors and the barbarians that opposed them. Nanhai, or the South Sea, is one of the Four Seas of Chinese literature. In that literary tradition, it serves as mere metaphor. But the beauty of these waters and the enriching destinations to which they lead is very real.

    Day 8 - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

    Call in Ho Chi Minh City today, formerly known as Saigon. Explore a heady mix of French and Vietnamese cultures here, where baguettes and croissants are sold alongside pho, Vietnam's beloved noodle soup. Browse the enlightening exhibits at the National History Museum, where galleries chronicle the nation's past. View the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and Chinatown. And meet artisans at a lacquer workshop.

    Day 9 - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

    With two nights in Ho Chi Minh City, you will have ample time to immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the south. You might choose to tour the fabled Mekong Delta. Known to many as "Vietnam's rice bowl," it is one of the most fertile areas in the nation, overflowing with fruit, vegetables and seafood, much of it sold at the many floating markets. This fascinating region seems untouched by the passage of time.

    Day 10 - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

    Enjoy another day exploring the cultural treasures of Ho Chi Minh City, absorbing its French colonial accents and bustling markets. Stop by its oldest and largest, Ben Thanh Market, to experience Old Saigon at its most authentic. If you wish, you can visit the legendary tunnels of Cu Chi, a vast network of subterranean passageways used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.

    Day 11 - Cruise the Gulf of Thailand

    Today you will enter the Gulf of Thailand, the former Gulf of Siam. Long an important waterway for traders and merchants, it has helped shape the economies of Southeast Asia and the Malay Peninsula for centuries. As you cruise, you might enjoy the views from your stateroom's veranda or from the Infinity Pool. This evening, attend a port talk about your upcoming Thailand ports and enjoy a star-filled night sky.

    Day 12 - Sihanoukville, Cambodia

    Call on Cambodia's coastal town of Sihanoukville, surrounded by stunning sand beaches and turquoise waters. Here, New Khmer architecture overlooks the comings and goings of modern tuk-tuks, carriages drawn by motorcycles. Visit Wat Krom with its colorful murals and Buddha sculptures, stroll Independence Beach, and explore a local market and fishing village. Sihanoukville is the gateway to Cambodia's stunning Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world and a supreme example of classical Khmer architecture. If you wish, you may join an overnight excursion to witness this magnificent, sprawling temple complex.

    Day 13 - Sihanoukville, Cambodia

    Take the day to experience the authentic Khmer culture of Sihanoukville, ringed by stunning sand beaches and cerulean waters. Take in the local ambiance at the town's market, return to Independence Beach or explore the beaches lined with colorful fishing boats. If you ventured to the magnificent 12th-century Buddhist temple complex of Angkor Wat yesterday, you will return today.

    Day 14 - Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Thailand

    Experience the cultural splendor of Old Siam, beautifully set on the Chao Phraya River. Take your time to enjoy the exquisite flavors of Thailand during a typical lunch. Then take in the other sights and sounds of one of Southeast Asia's most colorful and cosmopolitan cities on a panoramic tour that includes a stop for an exterior view of the Grand Palace. Admire the city's many canals plied by traditional longboats and other small vessels. You will occasionally stop for photos as you enjoy the kaleidoscopic scenery.

    Day 15 - Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Thailand

    Arrive in Bangkok today. Settle in to your veranda stateroom and take time to explore your ship. Because we are berthed overnight in Laem Chabang, you will have much of the day tomorrow to explore the glittering Thai capital.

    Day 16 - Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Thailand

    Experience the splendor of Siam of Old during an overnight stay. Cultural and political capital of Thailand, Bangkok is beautifully set on the Chao Phraya River. Marvel at the towering Wat Arun on the river's banks and the temples and elegant buildings of the renowned Grand Palace. Sample the famous Thai cuisine for lunch and take in the city's canals, bustling with traditional longboats. If you wish, visit the Dusit Palace complex and the Jim Thompson House, former home of the city's renowned silk merchant.

    Day 17 - Cruise the Gulf of Thailand

    Today you will enter the Gulf of Thailand, the former Gulf of Siam.     Day 18 - Cruise the Strait of Malacca

    Cruise through the Strait of Malacca today. This narrow passage between Malaysia and Indonesia was long a major trade route for the earliest traders shipping glassware, precious stones, camphor, ivory and sandalwood. As you cross its historic waters, you might attend a lecture to learn about your upcoming ports. This evening, sample some regional cuisine at the World Cafe or at The Restaurant.

    Day 19 - Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), Malaysia

    Take in the breathtaking cityscapes of Kuala Lumpur, the lively capital of Malaysia. From our berth in Port Klang, you will journey to KL, as the locals call it, for a panoramic city tour with many photo opportunities. You will pass the National Museum, the huge bronze National Monument, and the National Mosque of Malaysia. Stop in scenic Merdeka Square (Independence Square), the most photographed spot in the city, and view the breathtaking Petronas Towers, resembling a pair of steel-clad docked rocket ships linked by a towering catwalk.

    Day 20 - Singapore, Singapore

    Arrive in Singapore today. This city-state is spread across 63 islands at the tip of the Malay Peninsula and was established in 1819 for the British East India Company by Sir Stamford Raffles, after whom Singapore's famed hotel is named. Today, it is a diverse city of varied influences, as you can see during visits to the Colonial District, Little India, Arab Street and Chinatown.

    Day 21 - Cruise the Java Sea

    Sail the Java Sea today in waters that were traversed by merchant ships from the Dutch East India Company throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. As you cruise, you will have a chance to sample some cuisine of the islands such as rijsttafel, a rice dish adopted by the Dutch and still enjoyed throughout The Netherlands.

    Day 22 - Jakarta, Java, Indonesia

    Arrive in Jakarta, Indonesia's bustling and colorful capital, for an overnight stay. The city has been important to trade since the 4th century, and served as the capital of the Dutch East Indies during its 150-year presence here. Discover its treasures during a city tour that takes you to the National Monument, Jakarta History Museum, Wayang Museum (dedicated to Javanese puppetry), Sarinah Thamrin Plaza and enormous Fatahillah Square.

    Day 23 - Jakarta, Java, Indonesia

    Enjoy another day in Jakarta. Uncover more of its cultural landmarks on your own, perhaps pausing for a lunch of Betawi cuisine, rich in the food traditions of nearby nations. Or head up 1,000 feet to the town of Bogor to see its tea plantations and farms and explore its lush botanical gardens and safari park.

    Day 24 - Semarang, Java, Indonesia

    Call in Semarang today on the island of Java. Stop for photos of the Great Mosque of Central Java and visit the Sam Po Kong temple, a unique Chinese Muslim temple. Alternately, venture to Borobudur temple, the largest Buddhist monument in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You may walk in the footsteps of the devout, tracing the clockwise path along its round base and climbing to its apex, where sweeping views of four volcanoes reward you.

    Day 25 - Surabaya, Java, Indonesia

    Explore the capital of East Java, central to the Indonesian War of Independence. View the Heroes Monument, then enjoy a panoramic tour that reflects the city's diversity, from its mosques and churches to its Arab and European districts. If you prefer, you can experience local culture during a flavorful tour through the Pasar Pabean traditional market-where fresh fish, vegetables, spices and incense are traded-and to some of the city's authentic food spots.

    Day 26 - Cruise the Bali Sea

    As you cruise the waters of the Bali Sea, enjoy the amenities of your ship. You might visit The Spa for a relaxing treatment or enjoy a simple soak in the Thermal Pool. Visit Mamsen's gourmet deli for an authentic Norwegian snack and settle in a comfortable chair in the Explorers' Lounge to watch the seascape unfold. Or attend a colorful Destination Performance of Balinese music.

    Day 27 - Bali (Benoa), Indonesia
