Day 2BangkokBangkok Sightseeing: Start the day with a trip to Bangkok's most well known fruit and flower market, Pak Klong Talad. Continue by local Tuk Tuk to Wat Pho, Bangkok's oldest temple which features the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand. Wat Pho is also famous as Thailand's first University, and is a centre for traditional Thai massage. Enjoy a Thai massage in the grounds of the temple, a Cultural Insight. Continue on to visit the Grand Palace, formerly the seat of the King, his court and the entire government administration. The architecture is vibrantly Thai though there are some European elements as well. Brilliantly coloured and decorated with intricate detail, the overall effect is dazzling. The palace served as the official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18th to the mid-20th century. The most famous building on the palace grounds is Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand.Buffet Breakfast
Day 3BangkokBangkok and Damnoen Saduak: Make an early start this morning to visit the famous floating fruit and vegetable market at Damnoen Saduak and arrive there at the best time of the day before the crowds. The colourfully clad merchants at this lively market paddle along the congested canals in sturdy canoes, laden with fresh fruit and vegetables to sell to shoppers on the banks. There is a lot of chatter and bargaining is common which is all part of the fun. En route to the market make a short stop at a coconut palm sugar plantation and discover how the farmer extracts the sap from the palm trees to eventually be turned into sugar, a Cultural Insight. Return to Bangkok for an afternoon at leisure. This evening consider an optional Farewell Dinner at a traditional Thai restaurant housed in a beautiful century old building. Buffet Breakfast
