For this leg of your adventure, all meals are included. You will visit San Cristobal Island, where you will visit a tortoise reserve to learn about the giant tortoises native to these islands. You will also have the chance to snorkel with sea lions and admire the many species of migratory birds and all three types of boobies: blue-footed, red-footed, and Nazca! Then, it's off to Espanola Island, where you'll explore ancient volcanic formations, hike to the nesting grounds of Nazca and blue-footed boobies, and see the world's largest colony of waved albatross. |Day 3||San Cristobal||Upon arrival, transfer to the CERRO COLORADO TORTOISE RESERVE and learn about the island's giant tortoise population and measures taken to help preserve and breed these endangered species. The center includes a large corral, breeding center, and interpretative trail, where it is possible to see different species of native and endemic plants as well as birds such as the San Cristobal mockingbird, yellow warblers, many species of finch, and the Galapagos flycatcher. |Day 4||Cruising: San Cristobal Island||Wake up at CERRO BRUJO, offering beautiful views of Kicker Rock and famous for being the first place Charles Darwin visited in the archipelago. Visit a lagoon, home to many migratory bird species such as black-necked stilts, ruddy turnstones, whimbrels, and white-cheeked pintails. Also enjoy snorkeling with the sea lions and other marine life. This afternoon, hike up PUNTA PITT for spectacular views and the opportunity to see all three types of boobies: blue-footed, red-footed, and Nazca! (B,L,D)|
|Day 5||Cruising: Espanola Island||Disembark at SUAREZ POINT on Espanola Island, one of the oldest and most isolated islands in the Galapagos. Explore volcanic formations and large colonies of seabirds, including Espanola mockingbirds, Nazca boobies, and the spectacular red-billed tropicbirds. Hike to the nesting grounds of Nazca and blue-footed boobies as well as the world's largest colony of waved albatross. Also see the famous blowhole that shoots water 75 feet into the air. After lunch, land at GARDNER BAY on a beautiful white coral sand beach, where you are welcomed by a colony of sea lions. You may also spot Galapagos hawks, Galapagos doves, hood mockingbirds, marine iguanas, and three species of Darwin finches: Swimming and snorkeling here offers a great variety of Galapagos marine wildlife as well. |Day 6||Cruising: Floreana Island||Take a dinghy ride along CHAMPION ISLET off Floreana Island in search of Galapagos penguins, sea lions, turtles, sharks, and dolphins. Arrive at CORMORANT POINT and see a brackish lagoon, which usually holds one of the largest flamingo populations in the Galapagos. The trail continues to a beautiful white-sand beach, one of the most important nesting sites of Green Pacific sea turtles. Enjoy a chance to snorkel among sea turtles, reef fish, sea lions, and even white-tipped reef sharks. This afternoon, visit POST OFFICE BAY, named for the wooden barrel that served as an informal post office for sailors passing through. Here, you may also encounter Darwin finches, yellow warblers, and lava lizards, and take advantage of another chance for great snorkeling. (B,L,D)|
|Day 7||Guayaquil||Disembark on Santa Cruz Island and travel to the highlands to visit a private FARM and natural tortoise reserve, EL CHATO, where giant tortoises are found in their natural habitat. Continue to Baltra for your flight to Guayaquil. (B)|

Booking your Vacation with Air
For air departure dates within 331 days, you'll be offered a choice of carriers and flight schedules as well as price points to choose from when selecting your flights. Your schedule will be provided to you at the time of booking (schedules are subject to change by carriers). Monograms offers 2 air options: Flex Air and Instant Purchase Air. Flex Air allows flexibility if you want to make changes to your vacation schedule. Instant Purchase Air may offer additional airline options but has more restrictions. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. Guaranteed air-inclusive prices: air is only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land vacation. An additional $300 per person non-refundable air deposit is required for Flex Air booked in conjunction with any land vacation (i.e. air-inclusive vacation). Air can only be booked by Monograms in conjunction with a vacation package. Instant Purchase Air requires air payment in full at time of booking (i.e. air-inclusive vacation) plus non-refundable service fee ($30 per person for North America, $80 per person for South Pacific, $50 per person for all other destinations). Once booked, Instant Purchase Air is non-refundable, and non-changeable. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. However, once your airfare is confirmed and Monograms has received your full air and land deposit, your air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed.
Air-Inclusive Vacations - Applicable Taxes & Fees
Air-inclusive vacations include government-imposed taxes and fees applicable at the time of booking and will be shown as a Total Amount. Additional airline fees for baggage may apply. At the time of booking your air-inclusive vacation online, carrier Websites will be provided to check baggage fees, or you can visit www.iflybags.com for up-to-date baggage pricing/restrictions. For return travel from some countries, international travelers are required to pay entry and/or exit fees at the airport. These fees will be collected by the local government and are payable by the traveler at time of travel. Your confirmation booking information will contain information about these fees.
